SUMMARY:Claw\, fur\, scale\, skin: Stories of medieval shapeshifters at Wolverhampton Literature Festival
DESCRIPTION:The werewolf is a cruel creature\, when the fury takes it.  It consumes men\, wreaks evil\, and does no good.  Living and roaming in the deep\, dank woods.’ \n(Marie de France\, 12th century) \n  \nA woman is cursed with scales and fiery breath.  A hawk flutters through a barred prison window.   A grief-stricken king sinks into the forest greenery.  A man becomes suspicious about how long his wife spends in the bath\, and a woman worries her husband is spending just a little too much time in the wolf-haunted forest. \nWeaving story tendrils together with riddles and folk songs\, storyteller and academic Daisy Black shares a series of medieval stories which blur the boundaries of human\, vegetable and animal. \n… \nThis one-woman storytelling show is 60 minutes long\, and suitable for ages 12 and up.  Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult.
